Guests are served a full, formal breakfast daily, promptly at 8:30 a.m., seated with their hosts, in the dining room or library. Guests should advise the hosts in advance of arrival of any dietary restrictions if accommodation of them is to be attempte

  Check out (settling accounts, returning keys) is after breakfast before 10 a.m., departure may be delayed at the guest's pleasure, until 11 a.m.

  Smoking is allowed only outdoors and on the porches

  Children older than 12 years of age are welcome; other than the hosts' cat, pets are not permitted.

  Visa, MasterCard Novus (Discover) and American Express are welcome, as are checks and cash.

Reservation and Cancellations

Please read these terms carefully and completely to avoid disappointments, misunderstandings or unnecessary charges:

 A minimum stay of two nights (three on some special holidays) is required on weekends and is preferred on weekdays as well.

Please be certain of your plans when you book. Reservations booked one calendar month or less prior to the date of arrival must be guaranteed by credit card (the same day the reservation is made) or by check (when the check is received). Written confirmation will be mailed immediately upon credit card approval or receipt of payment. The guarantee protects equally the interests of both guests and hosts.

Reservations may be cancelled without forfeiture only more than one calendar month prior to the day of scheduled arrival. After that date, without exception and regardless of the reason, reservation payments are non-refundable. Similarly, early departures of a day or more do not qualify for refunds.

Cancellations may be made only by telephone, by speaking directly with one of the hosts.

Arrival & Registration
  Because the hosts take pains to arrange their work schedules away from the house to greet them, guests are most urgently requested to telephone if their arrival plans change.

As arranged when the reservation is booked, one of the hosts will arrive at the house in time to greet and register guests, or, alternatively, will be present downtown at the Twigges shop to meet them and escort them to the house or cottage.

Under no circumstances should guests attempt to enter either the house or the cottage upon arrival unaccompanied by a host.
